Rosmarinus officinalis

Rosemary is a tender perennial that grows in zones 8-11.  Protect it from frost.  Grows to a height of 12-36 inches.  Full sun in well drained soil.  Try growing it with other Mediterranean plants such as thyme and lavender.

Lovely addition to the culinary herb garden, but also has a place in the medicinal herb garden.  Rosemary is traditionally used as an antispasmodic, cholagogue, emmenagogue, stimulant and a hepatic herb.  Externally used to assist circulation.
