Melissa officinalis
Lemon balm puts out a mound of medium glossy leaves 24 inches high with inconspicuous white flowers. Full sun or partial shade in well drained soil. Aromatic and a great tea plant. Zones 4-9.
Lemon balm is traditionally used as an antispasmodic for the stomach and nervous system. It is mildly sedative.
